LAURA FRIEDMANN
Laura is a Colombian-Canadian film & media producer working across film, television, documentary and interactive experiences. Her award-winning projects explore identity, collective memory and cultural experience, reaching audiences through festivals, broadcasters and institutions around the world. As an industry market producer, community builder, youth educator and mentor, she also develops film labs, markets and industry initiatives that create opportunities for emerging and underrepresented creators.
KYLE SCHMALENBERG
Kyle Schmalenberg is an award-winning writer, director and producer working across scripted and documentary film and television. His work explores relationships, identity, social justice and the experiences of communities often underrepresented on screen. A licensed psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting youth in underserved communities and shelters, Kyle brings a deeply human-centred perspective to his filmmaking.
